Normally, I’m a whisk(e)y or scotch kinda girl. Neat, if you please. But every so often I get a craving for a good tequila or gin mixed drink. When I do, I defer to my husband to whisk up something tasty with whatever ingredients we have on hand. This particular cocktail, which is apparently a favorite at Tradition in San Francisco, is my new favorite request.
Time: 5 minutes | Serves: 1
Ingredients
- 2 oz dry gin
- 3/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz simple syrup (if you make your own, cool it down before adding)
- 10 fresh mint leaves
- 1 oz cold club soda
- 1 mint sprig
Directions
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add gin, juices, simple syrup and mint leaves. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Strain into ice-filled glass. Top with soda water and mint garnish.
Serve immediately and don’t be surprised if you’re tempted to guzzle the whole thing does it’s so delicious! (Guzzling not recommended.)
